Qurbani ka hadiya” translates to “sacrificial animal” or “animal for sacrifice.” It refers to the animal that is slaughtered by Muslims during Eid al-Adha as an act of worship and obedience to Allah. This practice commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) to sacrifice his son, Prophet Isma’il (AS), as an act of obedience to Allah’s command. Muslims sacrifice animals such as sheep, goats, cows, or camels and distribute the meat among family, friends, and the less fortunate as a symbol of sharing and generosity.
